PAPERS FROM THE HOUSE.
The following communications were received and placed on file, to wit:
A communication from the House of Representatives notifying the Senate of the organization of the House of Representatives; and that the Honorable Thomas M. Finneran of Boston had been elected Speaker of the House and that Stephen T. James had been elected Clerk of the House.
A communication from the House of Representatives notifying the Senate of the election of Michael J. Rea, Jr., of Billerica; as Sergeant-at-Arms of the General Court on the part of the House.
Messrs. Brewer and Jajuga presented “Resolutions congratulating Lieutenant
John S. Cote.”
There being no objection, the rules were suspended, on motion of Mr. Brewer, and the resolutions were considered forthwith, and adopted.
On motion of Ms. Melconian,—
Ordered, That when the Senate adjourns today, it adjourn to meet again on Thursday next at eleven o’clock A.M.
On motion of Mr. Hedlund, at four minutes past eleven o’clock A.M., the Senate adjourned to meet on the following Thursday at eleven o’clock A.M.
