Tuesday, January 14, 2003.
Pursuant to assignment, at one o’clock P.M., the two branches met in
in the Chamber of the House of Representatives, for the purpose of administering the oath of office to the Councillor-elect from the Eighth Councillor District, Edward M. O’Brien of Easthampton.
Before the President of the Senate, and in the presence of the two Houses of Assembly, the oaths and affirmations of office were then administered to, and subscribed by, Edward M. O’Brien of Easthampton as Councillor, at two minutes past one o’clock P.M.
On motion of Mr. Petrocelli of Boston, at three minutes past one o’clock P.M., the Convention dissolved and the Senate withdrew from the Chamber under the escort of the Sergeant-at-Arms.
