Met according to adjournment at eleven o’clock A.M.
The President, members, guests and employees then recited the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
Mr. Antonioni presented a petition (accompanied by bill, Senate, No.
1952) of Robert A. Antonioni (by vote of the town) for legislation to authorize
the town of Lunenburg to convey a certain parcel of land to Erling Hanson and
Lucy Hanson in exchange for certain land [Local approval received],— and
the same was referred, under Senate Rule 20, to the committee on Local Affairs.
Sent to the House for concurrence.
Petitions were presented and referred, as follows:
By Ms. Jacques, a petition (subject to Joint Rule 12) of Cheryl A. Jacques for legislation to authorize the state teachers’ retirement board to grant four years of creditable service to Nancy K. Griswold;
By Ms. Menard, a petition (subject to Joint Rule 12) of Joan M. Menard for legislation to clarify creditable service for sabbatical leaves;
By the same Senator, a petition (subject to Joint Rule 12) of Joan M. Menard for legislation to include service in the New Hampshire police force in determining creditable service for Steven Moniz; and
By Ms. Wilkerson, a petition (subject to Joint Rule 12) of Dianne Wilkerson
and Benjamin Swan for legislation relative to the expense premium commission
paid by insurers to independent licensed automobile insurance agents;
Severally, under Senate Rule 20, to the committees on Rules of the two branches, acting concurrently.
The following resolutions (having been filed with the Clerk) were severally considered forthwith and adopted, as follows:—
Resolutions (filed by Mr. Hart) “on the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Fields Corner Community Development Corporation”;
Resolutions (filed by Mr. O’Leary) “recognizing Donald ‘Don’ B. Davidson of South Yarmouth”; and
Resolutions (filed by Ms. Wilkerson) “in celebration of Crispus Attucks Day.”
On motion of Mr. Brewer,—
Ordered, That when the Senate adjourns today, it adjourn to meet again on Thursday next at eleven o’clock A.M., and that the Clerk be directed to dispense with the printing of a calendar.
On motion of Mr. Lees, at two minutes past eleven o’clock A.M., the Senate adjourned to meet on the following Thursday at eleven o’clock A.M.
