Met according to adjournment, at eleven o’clock A.M. (Mr. Tolman in the Chair).

The Chair (Mr. Tolman), members, guests and employees then recited the pledge of allegiance to the flag.

Order.

Mr. Moore presented an Order to establish a special joint committee for the observance of the three hundred and seventy-fifth anniversary of the Massachusetts General Court (Senate, No. 2164),— and the same was referred, under Joint Rule 29, to the committees on Rules of the two branches, acting concurrently.

PAPERS FROM THE HOUSE.

A message from His Excellency the Governor (accompanied by bill, House, No. 4279) recommending legislation relative to increasing the availability and affordability of private health insurance to residents of the Commonwealth,— was referred, in concurrence, to the committee on Health Care Financing.

A Bill relative to the charter of the town of Rockland (House, No. 4107,— on petition) [Local approval received],— was read.
There being no objection, the rules were suspended, on motion of Mr. Tisei, and the bill was read a second time, ordered to a third reading, read a third time and passed to be engrossed, in concurrence.

There being no objection, the rules were suspended, on motion of Mr. Knapik, and the bill was read a second time, ordered to a third reading, read a third time and passed to be engrossed, in concurrence.

Ordered, That when the Senate adjourns today, it adjourn to meet again on Monday next at eleven o’clock A.M., and that the Clerk be directed to dispense with the printing of a calendar

On motion of Mr. Knapik, at five minutes past eleven o’clock A.M., the Senate adjourned to meet on the following Monday at eleven o’clock A.M.
