Chapter 74 of the Acts of 2000


AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF REVERE TO PAY THE FUNERAL AND BURIAL EXPENSES OF FIREFIGHTER THEODORE A. FERRANTE, JR.


Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 100G¼ of chapter 41of the General Laws, the city of Revere may pay the reasonable expenses, not exceeding $10,000, of the funeral and burial of firefighter Theodore A. Ferrante, Jr. killed while in the performance of his duties.

SECTION 2. Section 1 of this act shall take effect upon its acceptance by the city of Revere.

SECTION 3. Section 2 of this act shall take effect upon its passage.
