Chapter 1 of the Acts of 2005


AN ACT ESTABLISHING A SICK LEAVE BANK FOR VANESSA SCOTT-BROWN, AN EMPLOYEE OF THE SUPREME JUDICIAL COURT.


Whereas , The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to establish forthwith a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the supreme judicial court, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.<_Ò>>


Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the supreme judicial court shall establish a sick leave bank for Vanessa Scott-Brown, an employee of the court. Any employee of the supreme judicial court, the appeals court or the trial court may voluntarily contribute 1 or more sick, personal or vacation days to the sick leave bank for use by Vanessa Scott-Brown.
