Grove Art Online
Grove Art Online provides web access to the entire text of The Dictionary of Art, ed. Jane Turner (1996, 34 vols.) and The Oxford Companion to Western Art, ed. Hugh Brigstocke (2001). Grove Art Online also offers ongoing additions of new and updated articles, over 3,000 thumbnail art images and line drawings displayed in the text of articles, extensive image links, and sophisticated search and navigation tools.

JSTOR
JSTOR is a not-for-profit organization with a dual mission to create and
maintain a trusted archive of important scholarly journals, and to provide access
to these journals as widely as possible. JSTOR offers researchers the ability to
retrieve high-resolution, scanned images of journal issues and pages as they were
originally designed, printed, and illustrated. The journals archived in JSTOR span
many disciplines including Arts, Sciences, Law, and Politics.

Catalogs and In-house Databases:
Online catalog (no card required)
Search through over 100,000 records from 1978 to the present, including Massachusetts state documents. Current periodicals appear in the catalog as do federal documents from 1990 to present. The catalog is maintained under the Central/Western Massachusetts Automated Resource Sharing Catalog (C/WMARS), an automated library network that consists of academic, public and special libraries.
Statewide virtual catalog
The Statewide Virtual Catalog searches through most Massachusetts public library catalogs and several academic library catalogs for a book, CD, audio or video and then informs you who owns it and whether it is on the shelf. Access is through our network provider, Central/Western Massachusetts Automated Resource Sharing (C/WMARS).
Boston Library Consortium virtual catalog
The Boston Library Consortium Virtual Catalog searches through approximately 20 area university and research library catalogs for a book, CD, audio or video and then informs you who owns it and whether it is on the shelf. State employees may request a title through the state library; others should check with their public library to request an inter-library loan.
Massachusetts Special Collections database
A database, maintained by the Massachusetts Library and Information Network, of over 600 archives and manuscript collections in Massachusetts.
Government Printing Office (GPO) catalog
Bibliographic database of federal documents issued from July 1976 to present.
Catalog of U.S. Government publications
Bibliographic index to federal publications, Jan. 1994 to present. Provides links to Internet full-text of titles where available.
Town reports database
The State Library's collection of Annual Town Reports may be found in the general collection and in the Special Collections Department. Special Collections holdings are indicated within circular ( brackets ), e.g. (1826). Updated Bimonthly.

Full-text of SHNS news copy back to 1986 and press releases from 1997 to present.
