| Non-Circulating Materials |
| Our lending guidelines prohibit the loan of local history titles, genealogical items, microforms, newspapers, pre-1930 publications, reference works, videos, or special collection holdings. |

| Billing and Payment |
| IFM or library coupons are preferred. Libraries will be billed if these options are not open to them. Government research libraries (state and federal), our affiliations, and Massachusetts public libraries are not charged for inter-library loan services. |

| Transmission of Requests |
| Preferred method of transmission is OCLC; our symbol is MAS. When this is not possible, ALA request forms may be faxed to 617-727-5819 or mailed to Inter-library Loan Dept., Massachusetts State Library, 341 State House, Boston, MA 02133. In-person requests and Web based requests are not accepted. |

| Delivery |
| Articles are transmitted by Ariel whenever feasible. Generally, books traveling beyond Massachusetts are handled by U.S. mail. Next day pick-up can be arranged for local law firm libraries. If Fed Ex is desired, please provide your account number. |

| Borrowing libraries are asked to provide a replacement
copy if they are unable to return materials. |
