Department of Early Education and Care Northeast Office (Region 3)

Our office is transit friendly by either the Merrimack Valley Regional Transportation Authority or the Commuter Rail (Take the Haverhill line on the MBTA Commuter Rail to the Lawrence stop). We are right off on I-495 exit 44 (Merrimack Street, Lawrence). Parking is available at the office.

Our office is located within Riverwalk Properties, which are the Old Mills of Lawrence -- a historic site that was home to iconic manufacturers such as Pacific Mill and Wood Mill that produced uniforms for American Troops more than a century ago.

The Department of Early Education & Care (EEC) provides:

• Licensing and Investigation work for all Family Child Care, Small Group/Large Group and School Age programs, and Residential and Placement Agencies.
• Workforce & Professional Development.
• Child Care Financial Assistance for Families.
• Coordinated Family and Community Engagement (CFCE).
• QRIS: Quality Rating & Improvement System.

Our building and office are handicapped accessible on the ground floor and have elevators to the upper floors.
