Lowell and ValleyWorks Career Centers Offer Free Job Fair with Lowell Spinners

Boston – August 22, 2012 – The Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development today announced that the Career Center of Lowell and ValleyWorks Career Center will partner with the Lowell Spinners Baseball Club to host a Pre-Labor Day Regional Job Fair on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Lowell’s LeLacheur Park.

 

Admission to the job fair is free and all job seekers are welcome. The event’s organizers are emphasizing the importance of first impressions. They encourage attendees to practice 30-second introductions, wear business casual attire, and bring multiple copies of their resumes. Membership or pre-registration is not required, but Career Center members should bring their membership cards for quick entry.

 

Each attendee will be offered a buy-one-get-one-free ticket deal for the Lowell Spinners Game. The Lowell Spinners, a Class A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, are celebrating their 17th season in Lowell this year.
