Secretary Joanne Feinberg Goldstein to be Recognized for Her Contributions to Worcester Public Schools

BOSTON----   The Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development (EOLWD) announced today that Secretary Joanne Feinberg Goldstein will be recognized as an outstanding friend of the Worcester Public Schools at the inaugural banquet of the Worcester Educational Development Foundation, Inc. (WEDF) on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011 beginning at 5:45 p.m. at the Hogan Campus Center, College of the Holy Cross. WEDF is honoring ten alumni and friends who have distinguished themselves in their professional field and have made significant contributions to the betterment of the Worcester Public Schools community. The goals of this program are to celebrate people and initiatives that have benefited the Worcester Public Schools and highlight the achievements of its graduates.    

The selection criteria focused on candidates of integrity who: attended the Worcester Public Schools; have made exemplary contributions to their professional field and/or the betterment of society; have achieved outstanding success in academics, the arts, business, community service, humanitarian efforts and research; or serve as outstanding role models for Worcester Public Schools students. Organizations, clubs or businesses that have supported the Worcester Public Schools were also eligible.
