If you have been disqualified from receiving unemployment insurance (UI) benefits, or if there is a determination that affects your claim, you have the right to request a hearing.

DUA will also schedule a hearing if your employer disputes your claim for benefits and appeals a determination made in your favor. In some cases, the hearing will not involve your former employer. This includes issues such as your current availability for work, an approval for training, or anything else that is not directly connected to the separation from your former employment.
