Federal Extension Benefits Update (09/25/13):
- Starting the week ending October 5, 2013, the reduction required by a federal law commonly known as Sequestration will change from 12.8 % to 7.2%. This reduction applies to benefits paid on the Federal Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) program.
- Claimants that request benefits on the EUC program for the week ending October 5, 2013 through the week ending December 28, 2013 (the last payable week for EUC benefits) will have their weekly benefit amount reduced by 7.2%. The 7.2% reduction will impact your weekly benefit amount and your remaining EUC account balance.
- DUA will send claimants a revised determination with a new weekly benefit amount and new account balance.
