Questions or Issues Regarding your UI Claim

The Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA) strives to provide prompt and courteous service. We understand that during peak periods, it may be difficult to get through our TeleClaim Centers. So we've provided another way for claimants to get in touch with us. Please choose one of the following Unemployment Insurance (UI) topics that relates to you. Be sure to select the right topic to ensure the quickest response to your question. Generally, most emails will be answered within 2 - 4 business days.

If you don't have a specific question about your claim, we recommend that you check DUA's website, www.mass.gov/dua, as most information and updates are provided there.
  • Are you having problems with WebCert? (UI Online Services)

    You do not remember your user name/password, or you are having trouble accessing the service. - Recover your Webcert password.
    - Use this form to let us know if the system is down.

     

    NOTE: UI Online for Workers works optimally with Internet Explorer Version 6.0 browser. Other browsers may experience problems displaying content.

  • Do you want to know the status your claim?

    It takes about 3 weeks to process a new claim.

    Please contact us if you filed your claim at least 3 weeks ago and you have not heard about your claim status. You can also login to Webcert to check the status of your claim.
  • Do you have questions regarding your eligibility?

    If you have a question regarding your eligibility for UI benefits, not answered in the FAQs.

  • Do you have a question about your UI check/payment?

    You have not received your unemployment check/payment, or you want to verify your payment amount. You can login to Webcert to verify your payment information (amount and date of most recent payment).
  • Do you have a question concerning health insurance while unemployed?

    If you have questions regarding your eligibilty for the Medical Security Program (MSP), or you need to follow-up on your application or payment reimbursement.

  • Are you not able to get through to file or reopen a claim?

    You have been unable to speak to a representative due to high call volume/long wait times.

  • Do you need to speak to an adjuster concerning your claim?

    Your claim has not been resolved because you need to speak to an adjuster to give a statement. ( ie quit/fired from job.) It has been at least three weeks since you filed your claim.

  • Do you have questions regarding the UI Hearing process?

    You have been disqualified from collecting benefits and do not understand the appeal process and/or how to appeal the decision.
