QUEST Bulletin

o Unemployment Health Insurance (UHI): Employers that paid a UHI rate of .08% or 0.36% in 2011 will pay a rate of 0.48% in 2012 as established by the Rate Review Board.

o 1st Quarter 2012 Filing Deadline: Employment and Wage Detail Reports and Payments must be submitted by April 30, 2012. Late filings may incur a penalty and/or interest charges, as provided under MGL 151A, Section 14P. Employers are encouraged to file in advance of the deadline. To file online, log in below and select "Employment and Wage Detail Reporting”.

o 1st Quarter Deferral Option: If you are eligible for a deferral, you must file and make a payment no later than 3:00p.m. on April 30, 2012. The deferral option will not be available after this date. Deferrals are not available for Third Party Administrators who file in bulk.

o The new updated 2012 TPA Client/Rate file as of 4/13/2012 is now available for TPA’s to download.

Who is a Third Party Administrator?

Third Party Administrator - Any person or entity example Certified Public Accountant (CPA,) Payroll Company, Fiscal Intermediaries etc. authorized by an employer to conduct business on their behalf.
