Dr. David Babin is, at present, an attending orthopedic surgeon at Falmouth Hospital and was the former Chief of Surgery at Falmouth Hospital. Dr. Babin has served as one of the Health Care Services Board's physician representatives since 1999.
Graduating from Harvard College with an AB, he received his medical training at Boston University, School of Medicine. Following his internship at Columbia Surgical Service, Bellevue Hospital in New York, he was the Assistant Resident of General Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery at Montefiore Hospital, New York, and Chief Resident of Orthopaedic Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
Dr. Babin is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Fellow of the American Academy of Orthpaedic Surgery. He is on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Orthopaedic Association, and a member of the Board of Directors of Physicians of Cape Cod, and a Corporate Member of Cape Cod Healthcare. Dr. Babin is President of the Harvard Club of Cape Cod and a member of the Board of Quissett Harbor Preservation Trust. He is also a member of the New England Orthopaedic Society, the Boston Orthopaedic Club, the American Medical Association, the Massachusetts Medical Society, and the Barnstable District Medical Society.
