The Division of Marine Fisheries is providing this notice of regulatory measures in effect for the 2008 fishing period for scup:

Winter II fishing period from November through December 2008:It is unlawful for a commercial fisherman to possess greater than 2,000-lbs. of scup per trip.

These limits, approved by the Marine Fisheries Advisory Commission, complement commercial scup rules published by NOAA Fisheries. The Winter II period commercial scup fishery is managed under a coast-wide quota by NOAA Fisheries.
