MDMA, which is the pure form of an ingredient typically found in Ecstasy, is enjoying a new surge in popularity, despite its risks. Sold from $15 to $50 a dose, this illegal white powder is seeing a rise in popularity with the support of popular artists whose lyrics describe it as one of the party drugs to take.  Whether it's snorted as a powder or swallowed as a capsule, the drug is said to lead to a sudden rush of energy and "feel good" serotonin levels from 3 to 6 hours.  There have been several highly publicized overdose deaths attributed to the increase in use of this designer drug.
