The eleven District Attorneys unanimously support and urge the passage of two bills related to domestic violence and public safety.  If enacted, these bills would allow for enhanced penalties to be imposed for second and subsequent domestic assault and battery charges, expand the state’s DNA database, create a crime for the act of strangulation and prohibit the use of accord and satisfactions to dismiss domestic abuse cases.
