New England State GIS Programs

In addition to Massachusetts, all other New England states maintain a state GIS office. For information on data services in other New England states call:

Massachusetts Geographic Information Council (MGIC)

The Council, created by the legislature, meets every other month except during the summer to learn about current MassGIS projects and to advise MassGIS staff on those projects and related matters. Its members were appointed by the former Secretary of Environmental Affairs, Bob Durand. For more information contact Neil MacGaffey at (617) 626-1057 or at neil.macgaffey@state.ma.us.
