"Accessing, Processing and Online Publishing of Census by MassGIS "
Daniel Marrier, GIS Analyst, MassGISWorking With TIGER

Dan has done considerable work at MassGIS with the TIGER/Line geography and the SF1/SF3 demographics reports.  He has processed data into a more user-friendly format and is making it available on the MassGIS website.  He is also assisting in the creation of an online viewer where the public will be able to view housing, income and demographic data by block group for any area in the Commonwealth. Dan has been a GIS Analyst with MassGIS for several years and before that, worked at the Boston office of the Census Bureau as a Cartographic Aid. Dan has a BA in Planetary and Space Science and an MA in Environmental Remote Sensing and GIS, both from Boston University.

"Working With TIGER "
Vincent Pito, Geographer, U.S. Census Bureau Boston

Vincent will be presenting information about the Census, TIGER, how TIGER is updated, and how to link data to TIGER. He will also link to the internet to demonstrate resources found there. Vincent Pito has been a Geographer with the U.S. Census Bureau in Boston for the past 7 years. Before that he worked in the State of Maryland as a Natural Resources Manager. He has a BA in Geography from Worcester’s Clark University and a Masters Degree in Geography from Boston University.
