ADMINISTRATIVE ADVOCACY Over the past 25 years, the Mental Health Legal Advisors Committee has fulfilled its statutory mission through participation in state and federal administrative processes to ensure that rights granted are effectively implemented and that services to which individuals are entitled are actually delivered. MHLAC actively works on three administrative fronts: participating in the development of and commenting on regulations; assisting with and filing DMH complaints and grievances with other agencies; and representing individuals at administrative hearings. For advice and assistance on filing complaints, see MHLAC intake or contact MHLAC. |
