Find out more about

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires that "entities" of state and local government designate ADA Coordinators to oversee efforts to comply with the law and to handle disability based discrimination complaints.   MOD is the ADA Coordinating Agency for the Executive Branch of State Government.  Among other things it maintains lists of both state and municipal coordinators.  See the list at the right.

It also maintains The Disability Handbook for Executive Branch Entities

The guidance in the Handbook is intended to help agencies meet their obligations to citizens with disabilities.  Also available for assistance in dealing with state employee issues related to disability are guidelines issued by the Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity.
