• Outreach and Training

MOVA organizes, and collaborates on, training opportunities for a wide variety of constituencies, including victim service providers, criminal justice professionals, survivors and community-based organizations. Our goal is to ensure that those who work to help victims of crime are skilled, compassionate and informed on the most current practices while offering opportunities to create or further build collaborations. Basic skills building sessions are offered for new advocates working in both state and community-based agencies. Advanced training sessions are offered as needed on a variety of topics, including new developments in the law or criminal justice policy and those aimed at supervisors/directors and seasoned victim rights professionals.
