The Grants Management and Program Resources (GMPR) team administers funds and provides technical assistance to enhance service delivery for victim service providers. GMPR's commitment and strength lies in the success of the victim service providers and we are dedicated to providing the tools and resources necessary to maximize their accomplishments.
The funding administered by GMPR comes from several sources. Since 1985, MOVA has administered the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant. This is a grant supported through the Federal Crime Victims Fund. MOVA also administers funds for the SAFEPLAN program, made up of both state and federal funds. Most recently, beginning in 2002, MOVA oversees the Drunk Driving Trust Fund.
Through these funding streams MOVA is able to fund over 100 programs across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that provide free counseling and advocacy services to aid victims of crime.
