VOCA FY2010 RFR Release and Bidders Conference Announcement:
On November 25, 2008, the Massachusetts Office for Victim Assistance intends to release the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Request for Response. All pertinent RFR documents will posted on Comm-PASS: the Commonwealth’s Procurement Access and Solicitation System: http://www.comm-pass.com/. The RFR will be due to the MOVA office by 4:00 p.m. on February 4, 2009.
The FY2010 VOCA Bidders Conference is scheduled on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 from 10-12 p.m. at 1 Ashburton Place in Boston, MA in the Ashburton Cafe Conference Room, lower level Click here for directions. This Bidders Conference is not mandatory however a representative from all interested agencies is strongly recommended to attend as valuable information pertinent to the application will be disseminated. Please read the VOCA Guidelines and RFR prior to attending and come prepared with questions. All questions addressed will be posted to Comm-PASS.
No applications for SAFEPLAN services will be accepted with this RFR. An RFR specifically for SAFEPLAN services will be released by MOVA in January. Please call 617-727-5200 and ask for the SAFEPLAN Program Manager if you have any questions about this.
Please submit a Notification of Attendanceform if you plan to attend the Bidders Conference to MOVA by November 28, 2008.
VOCA FY2010 Regional Meeting Report:
In the fall of 2008, MOVA hosted four regional meetings across the Commonwealth. The purpose of these meetings was to elicit feedback from victim service providers and community stakeholders regarding the VOCA FY2010 Open Bid and the pending funding cuts.
