Nonpublic school service

Select the type of nonpublic school at which you were employed

There are two types of nonpublic school service that you may be eligible to purchase. Please select the type of school at which you were employed and then press the Next button for the basics regarding that type of service. If you are not sure which type of nonpublic school yours was, please contact us.

A nonpublic, private school: This is generally—and most often—a parochial school, and is the most common type of nonpublic school service.

A nonpublic school in which all students had their tuition at least partially funded by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts: This is a less common type of nonpublic school, but service rendered in such a school is eligible for purchase. Frequently, these are Chapter 766 schools, but this is not a deciding or limiting factor in determining if this service is eligible for purchase. We will require that the school provide information regarding the tuition status of all of the students attending the school before we are able to determine if the service is eligible for purchase.
