REGISTRATION SPECIALIST
BOARD OF BAR OVERSEERS OF THE SUPREME JUDICIAL COURT
REGISTRATION DEPARTMENT

The Registration Department seeks a full-time position as Registration Specialist.

The Registration Department is the administrative division responsible for attorney compliance with Supreme Judicial Court Rules 4:02 and 4:03, which govern the annual registration of every attorney admitted to, or engaging in, the practice of law in this Commonwealth.

The Registration Specialist provides service and information to attorneys regarding annual attorney registration and processes attorney registrations and payments. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting attorneys with their annual registration, processing attorney annual registrations and payments, responding to inquiries from courts, legal organizations and members of the public regarding attorney status, retrieving mail, and preparing and doing daily bank deposit.

Requirements:
Extensive experience in customer service both in person and by phone with strong oral communication skills
Excellent written communication skills with high level competence in MS Word and Outlook
Knowledge of basic accounting skills especially accounts receivables
Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook

Three years customer relations/service experience
Bachelors degree

INVESTIGATOR/PARALEGAL
BOARD OF BAR OVERSEERS OF THE SUPREME JUDICIAL COURT
OFFICE OF THE BAR COUNSEL

The Office of the Bar Counsel seeks a full-time investigator/paralegal.

The mission of the Office of the Bar Counsel is to protect the public from unethical conduct by lawyers and to preserve and enhance the integrity and high standards of the bar.  The paralegal/investigator assists in the investigation, resolution, and prosecution of complaints of attorney misconduct.  Duties include, but are not limited to, obtaining records from various courts, interviewing witnesses, drafting reports and summaries, organizing case files and exhibits, conducting legal research, and assisting at hearings.

Requirements:
Proven skills in problem identification, analysis and evaluation.
Proficiency in legal research resources.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational skills
Excellent written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word
Bachelor’s degree

Two years of paralegal or investigative experience preferred.
Valid driver’s license preferred.
