Doing Business in Massachusetts

Firms seeking to offer telecommunications services in Massachusetts must file a Statement of Business Operations and have a tariff on file. The requirement applies to providers of local exchange, long distance, operator services, providers of pay telephone services, and other types of telecom services whether resale or facilities based. (Note that providers of cellular/PCS, ISPs, retail XDSL, and VOIP are not required to file.)
