Maintaining a Hazardous Free Home

Before disposing of potentially hazardous waste products you should always be aware of the safest way to dispose of these materials. Contact your local town hall, the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, or the Environmental Protection Agency to find out how to dispose of such materials.

  • Disposing of Automotive wastes

Do-it-yourself auto maintenance and repair can save you time and money, but you should be careful with used motor oil, dirty oil filters, antifreeze, dead batteries and other automotive wastes. Handled or discarded improperly, they can pose serious risks to your health, your home and the environment.
