As part of an ongoing, state-wide effort to raise consumer knowledge about insurance issues, Undersecretary of Consumer Affairs Barbara Anthony and Commissioner of Insurance Joseph G. Murphy will be joined by Chief Meteorologist Kevin Lemanowicz of FOX25 to greet commuters and talk about insurance-related matters. Mr. Lemanowicz will discuss changing weather patterns in New England and their potential for causing significant property damage, as evidenced by the 2011 tornadoes and Super Storm Sandy. Undersecretary Anthony and Commissioner Murphy will speak briefly on the importance of making at least an annual check of insurance policies to make certain of adequate personal, family and property coverage; staff of the Division of Insurance will be on hand to answer consumer questions about insurance.
