Licensee Databases

The Division of Professional Licensure (DPL) is pleased to offer databases containing licensee information that is considered public record, pursuant to M.G.L. c. 4, § 7; M.G.L. c. 66, § 10; and 950 CMR 32.00, on CD-ROM. Specifically, these databases include the following public information about active licensees:

  • Board Name
  • License Type
  • License Number
  • Licensee Name
  • Licensee Mailing Address
  • License Issue Date
  • License Expiration Date
  • License Status

DPL can only provide information on licensees in the trades and professions licensed by one our thirty one (31) boards of registration.  For a full list of the boards of registration under DPL’s purview, please visit the “Boards of the Division of Professional Licensure ” webpage.

Ordering Licensee Databases

To request this information, please fill out the Application to Request Current Licensee Databases pdf format of request_for_public_information.pdf and return it via first class mail to the address at the top of the application. Please note that there is a $30.00 fee associated with this service; all check should be made payable to “The Commonwealth of Massachusetts.”  Once your request and payment has been processed, a CD-ROM containing a fully functional application with the specific information that you have requested will be mailed to you within ten (10) business days, via two-day (2) UPS shipping. Please note that this information cannot be e-mailed and is only available via CD-ROM.

Please be aware that DPL does not have the ability to provide a Mac compatible version of this application and cannot provide support to Macintosh users. Mac users will need to seek third party assistance to work with the application. Some newer models of Mac computers are able to run Microsoft Windows type applications. Please check with your Mac support professional to determine if your computer can run the application.
