Pursuant to Chapter 388 of the Acts of 2008, and effective as of January 1, 2010, live racing where any form of betting or wagering on the speed or ability of dogs occurs, is prohibited in Massachusetts.

However, the Massachusetts State Racing Commission continues to oversee the conduct of racing meeting licensees within the Commonwealth that simulcast live greyhound races from outside of Massachusetts.
