OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE APPLICATIONS
Occupational licenses expire annually on December 31st. Inspectors review and process license applications for racing participants and racetrack personnel. They reconcile and deposit all over-the-counter revenue transactions. They issue the identification badges which are produced using a state of the art computer imaging program. They work closely with other racetracks and Racing Commissions throughout the country to verify the eligibility of licensees and participants. Inspectors also respond to the questions, problems and disputes of licensees and representatives of numerous state and federal agencies.
COMPLAINTS
Complaints and disputes are usually initiated with the Inspectors. The Inspectors handle telephone calls regarding the disciplinary status of licensees, resolving disputes and filling requests for public information. The Inspectors also handle the filing of appeals and ejections to the Commission of licensees. The complaints and disputes that cannot be resolved at the field level are then reported to the Commission Office for further action.
SUPERVISE TEST AREA
A State Inspector supervises testing areas at each track in order to ensure proper collection and continuity of evidence for blood and urine samples obtained from racing animals. Testing Assistants who are employed for each program are trained, scheduled and supervised in their activities by the Inspectors in compliance with established procedures. This content provided by the State Racing Commission .
