Hearing Scheduled for Thursday October 6th, 2005
Pursuant to the provisions of chapter 30A, and in accordance with the authority granted to the Commissioner under chapters 175 and 176D of the Massachusetts General Laws, the Division of Insurance will hold a public hearing at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at the offices of the Division of Insurance, Fifth Floor, One South Station, Boston, Massachusetts, 02110.
The purpose of the hearing is to afford all interested parties an opportunity to provide oral and written testimony regarding new regulation 211 CMR 28.00, Life Insurance Illustrations and amendments to 211 CMR 95.00, Variable Life Insurance. These regulations are being promulgated and amended in order to afford carriers and consumers consistency by complying with model regulations enacted by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and with the amendments to M.G.L. c.175 enacted as part of Chapter 106 of the Acts of 2002.
Any person who wishes to testify concerning these regulations must file a Notice of Intent to Testify with the Division of Insurance on or before October 3, 2005. All other parties who wish to testify will be heard subsequent to those who notify the Division in advance. Persons wishing to submit written comments may do so until the record of the hearing is closed. All submissions must be sent to: Docket Clerk, Hearings and Appeals, Division of Insurance, One South Station, Boston, Massachusetts, 02110-2208, and must refer to Docket No. G2005-04.
