Hearing Scheduled for February 16, 2005

In accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws c. 152, §52C (d) a hearing will be held on February 16, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., at the Division of Insurance, One South Station, Boston, MA, to inquire into the cooperative activities and practices of members of the American International Group ("AIG") writing workers' compensation insurance in Massachusetts, at any time during the period beginning 1990 to date, regarding submission of data relating to such workers' compensation business to the Workers' Compensation Rating and Inspection Bureau ("WCRB"), with respect to rate filing and ratemaking. The purpose of the hearing is to determine whether any activity or practice in connection with the submission of data to the WCRB is unfair, unreasonable, or otherwise inconsistent with the statute. All interested persons are invited to provide evidence and testimony on this issue. Any person who wishes to make a statement is asked to submit a notice of intent to testify on or before February 14. All others will be heard after those who submit such notice.

All submissions relating to this hearing shall reference Docket No. R2005-05, and shall be addressed to the Docket Clerk, Hearings and Appeals, Division of Insurance, One South Station, Boston, MA 02110-2208.
