NOTICE OF DEADLINE
FOR SUGGESTING ISSUES TO BE ADDRESSED AT THE
ANNUAL MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT HEARING

In accordance with the authority granted under Chapter 176K of the Massachusetts General Laws, and pursuant to 211 CMR 71.24, the Commissioner of Insurance annually conducts a public hearing concerning the overall condition of the Massachusetts market for Medicare Supplement insurance. Pursuant to G.L. c. 176K, §7(j), this public hearing is intended to monitor the overall condition of the market for these products in Massachusetts so as to improve access by individuals to coverage under Chapter 176K, to encourage aggregation of risk pools through product selection and to promote long-term access by individuals to coverage through continued stability and financial viability of all carriers in the market

In accordance with 211 Code Mass. Reg. 71.24, interested persons are encouraged to suggest issues to be addressed at the hearing by filing suggestions with the Commissioner no later than April 13, 2007. A Notice of Hearing will be issued at a later date.
