Hearing Scheduled for June 12, 2007
Pursuant to Massachusetts General Law chapters 26 and 30A, the Massachusetts Auto Damage Appraiser Licensing Board ("Board") will hold a hearing on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel, 75 Felton St, Marlborough, Massachusetts, 01752. The purpose of the hearing is to afford all interested persons an opportunity to provide oral and written testimony regarding the proposed amendment to 212 CMR 2.04 Procedures for the Conduct of Appraisals and Intensified Appraisals.
The Board proposes to promulgate the amendment to 212 CMR 2.04 to facilitate the calculation of the costs of repair of damaged automobiles. The proposed amendment is necessary to provide guidance to insurance appraisers and repair shops in the procedures for the appraisal and repair of damaged automobiles
Any person who wishes to testify must file a Notice of Intent to Testify to the Division of Insurance on or before June 7, 2007. All other persons who wish to testify will be heard subsequent to those who notify the Division of Insurance in advance. Persons wishing to submit written comments may do so until the record of the hearing is closed. All submissions must be sent to: Docket Clerk, Hearings and Appeals, Division of Insurance, One South Station, Boston, Massachusetts, 02110-2208, and must refer to Docket No. D2007-01.
