Hearing Scheduled for June 15, 2007
Pursuant to the provisions of the Plan of Operation of the Commonwealth Automobile Reinsurers ("CAR"), adopted in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 175, section 113H, a hearing will be held on June 15, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at the Division of Insurance, One South Station, Boston, regarding the CAR Governing Committee's approval of amendments to the Proposed MAIP Rules of Operation 21, 22 and 26 on May 16, 2007. The Plymouth Rock Assurance Corporation, a CAR member, has requested a hearing on those amendments.
On April 18, 2007, the Commissioner of Insurance remanded proposed CAR MAIP Rules 21-40 to CAR to make changes to those rules as they relate to motor vehicle operators with clean-in-three driving records, as defined in proposed Rule 22. The purpose of this hearing is to afford all interested parties an opportunity to provide oral and written testimony regarding the proposed amendments CAR approved on May 16, 2007.
Any person who wishes to testify concerning these May 16, 2007 proposed amendments is requested to submit to the Division of Insurance a Notice of Intent to Testify no later than June 13, 2007. All other interested persons will be heard after those who notify the Division in advance. All notices and submissions must be sent to the Docket Clerk, Hearings and Appeals, Division of Insurance, One South Station, Boston, Massachusetts 02110-2208, and refer to Docket No. C2004-02.
