|Hearing Scheduled for August 20, 2008|
Pursuant to Massachusetts General Law chapters 26 and 30A, the Massachusetts Auto Damage Appraiser Licensing Board ("Board") will hold a hearing on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Division of Insurance, One South Station, Boston, Massachusetts, 02110. The purpose of the hearing is to afford all interested persons an opportunity to provide oral and written comments regarding the proposed amendments to 212 CMR 2.04 , Procedures for the Conduct of Appraisals and Intensified Appraisals.
The Board proposes to promulgate the amendment to 212 CMR 2.04 to facilitate and expedite the process for the repair of damaged automobiles. The proposed amendment is necessary to provide guidance to insurance appraisers and repair shops with regard to the procedures for expedited supplemental appraisals.
Any person who wishes to provide oral comments must file a Notice of Intent to Provide Comments with the Division of Insurance on or before August 15, 2008. All other persons who wish to provide oral comments will be heard subsequent to those who notify the Division of Insurance in advance. Persons wishing to submit written comments may do so until the record of the hearing is closed. All submissions must be sent to: Docket Clerk, Hearings and Appeals, Division of Insurance, One South Station, Boston, Massachusetts, 02110-2208, and must refer to Docket No. D2008-01.
