The agenda as set forth below will be followed at a meeting of the education subcommittee for the Board of State Examiners of Electricians.

  1. The Chairman to call the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.
  2. Consideration of the minutes from the meeting of March 21, 2012
  3. MCE Provider program discussion
    1. Subcommittee to consider Provider petitions and renewal process
    2. Subcommittee to discuss methods of seminar monitoring
    3. Discuss alternate penalty for delinquent renewals (double CE classes may have alternative)
    4. 15 and 6 hr course structure (consistency of message)and Provider Seminar preparations
  4. Identification of programs and criteria for 6 hour PD
    1. Pre-approve the following for one-time renewal acceptance
      1. CPR First aid by American Heart Assoc
      2. i.            OSHA 10 or 30 for 6 hours only
  5. Education standards
    1. Public comment session regarding Electrical Frameworks for Chapter-74 Programs.
    2. Identifying programs for Journeyman and Master exam qualification
      1. NCCER
        1. NJATC
  6. Discussion and planning for revision of 237 CMR.
  7. Discussion regarding apprenticeship records
  8. Conduct other business as appropriate.
  9. The Chair to request a motion to adjourn.
