VARIANCE REQUESTS:

PV161) BUILDING RENOVATION – 125 NASHUA STREET – BOSTON

The Petitioner (David Ferguson, P.E.) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.10 (18) 9. The petitioner is seeking an alternate method of draining the condensate discharge. Mr. Ferguson provided the Board office with a copy of the petition letter sent to the Boson Health office.

PV173) BARRY’S CORNER RESIDENCES – 219 WESTERN AVENUE – BOSTON

The Petitioner (Frank Teebagy, P.E.) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.06, to allow the use of CPVC. Mr. Teebagy provided the Board office with a copy of the petition letter sent to the Boston Health office.

PV175) SUPERCUTS – 866 MERRIAM AVENUE – LEOMINSTER

The Petitioner (Mr. David Habas) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.10 (18) Table 1. Petitioner notes the existing square footage is close to 1,200 square feet. The petitioner is seeking relief from the requirement to install two non-handicap restrooms. The petitioner proposes installing one unisex handicapped accessible restroom. Mr. Habas provided the Board office with a copy of the petition letter sent to the Leominster Board of Health.

PV176) UMASS – NEW AFRICA HOUSE – 160 INFIRMARY WAY - AMHERST

The Petitioner (Mr. Christopher Garcia, P.E.) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.10 (18_ (h) 4. The Petitioner is seeking relief from the requirement to provide separate staff restrooms. As this is a state project, no Board of Health letter is required.

PV177) AMC THEATRES – 20 SOUTH AVENUE – BURLINGTON

The Petitioner (Mr. Michael Zeigler, Project Manager) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.10 (18) Table 1. The Petitioner notes there are 16 water closets for females, with an additional water closet on the mezzanine level. Petitioner is seeking relief from having to provide addition toilets for females. The Burlington Board of Health supports the variance request.

PV185) LEGAL SEAFOODS – TERMINAL B – LOGAN AIRPORT

The Petitioner (Dan Yerkes) requests a variances from 248 CMR 3.04 to vary from the Board required conditions regarding the installation of Sure Seal floor drain trap sealers. As this is a State project, no Board of Health letter is required.
