VARIANCE REQUESTS:
VR1A) PATRICK COURTNEY – 55 MAIN STREET - EDGARTOWN
The Petitioner, Mr. Patrick Courtney requests a variance from 248 CMR, Section 10.09 to allow the installation of one (1) large grease interceptor in lieu of point-of-use units. The Edgartown Board of Health is not opposed to this variance request.
VR1B) PATRICK COURTNEY – 55 MAIN STREET - EDGARTOWN
The Petitioner, Mr. Patrick Courtney requests a variance from 248 CMR, Section 10.10 to allow the installation of one (1) unisex handicap accessible rest room on the ground floor and designated rest rooms on the basement level. The Edgartown Board of Health is not opposed to this variance request.
VR2) PAUL SCOTT – 295 WEST HILL ROAD - MARLBORO
The Petitioner, Mr. Paul Scott requests a variance from 248 CMR, Section 3.04 (1). The petitioner purchased an Aquapeutics Steam Shower/Whirlpool Tub. During the installation it was learned that a variance is needed for installation of an unlisted product. The Marlboro Board of Health is aware of this variance request. A variance request for the same steam shower at a different location was heard by this Board on December 28, 2011.
VR3) THE GROVE BOUTIQUE AND CAFÉ – 17d BEACH STREET - MANCHESTER
The Petitioner, Lindsay LaRusso requests a variance from 248 CMR, Section 10.10 (18) to allow the installation of one (1) unisex handicap rest room in lieu of the required designated rest rooms. The Manchester Board of Health has no objections to this variance request.
VR4) STEPHEN MCCRAY – 55 ALVORD STREET – SOUTH HADLEY
The Petitioner, Stephen McCray requests a variance from 248 CMR, Section 10.10 (18) to allow the installation of one (1) unisex rest room in lieu of the required designated rest rooms. The facility is a 3,300 square foot dairy production building which will have two (2) to four (4) employees. The Hadley Board of Health has no objections to this variance request.
VR5) MICHAEL KIRK – 99 CODMAN ROAD - BROOKLINE
The Petitioner, Michael Kirk requests a variance from 248 CMR, Section 3.04 (1) to allow the installation of a Japanese Soaking Tub which is not approved by the Board. The Brookline of Health has no objections to this variance request.
VR6) E-INK CORPORATION – 1000-1200 TECHNOLOGY PARK DRIVE - BILLERICA
The Petitioner, Rand Refrigeri from RDK Engineers requests a variance from 248 CMR to pump industrial waste water through forced overhead mains in lieu utilizing the existing gravity system. The Billerica of Health supports this variance request.
