PV47) LEONARD BERNSTEIN CONDO #95 – 60 BABCOCK STREET - BROOKLINE
The Petitioner (Mr. Leonard Bernstein, Owner) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 3.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 3.04(1). The Petitioner is planning to renovate 2 bathrooms in his condominium. Mr. Bernstein is requesting to install two (2) Brondell Swash 1000 bidet toilet seats on the existing toilets. These bidet seats are not, listed on the Board’s product accepted website. The Brookline Board of Health has no objection to the request.
PV41) IRON MOUNTAIN DATA CENTER – 171-175 BEARFOOT ROAD - NORTHBOROUGH
The Petitioner (Mr. Thomas Scott, AIA) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.10(18) Table 1. The Petitioner is seeking a waiver to reduce the fixture requirements for this type of occupancy. The petitioner provided the Board office with a copy of the petition letter sent to the Board of Health. The Northborough Board of Health, in an email, stated it has no concerns regarding this request.
PV44) WESTPORT HISTORICAL SOCIETY – 202 HIXBRIDGE ROAD - WESTPORT
The Petitioner (Ms. Betty Slade, V.P.) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.02(6)(b). The Petitioner is asking for a waiver of the requirement to have fixed toilets at the time of opening to the public in 2014.. The Westport Board of Health has approved not having a bathroom in the existing building. It is the understanding of the Board of Health that a building to house two restrooms be built within the next few years.
PV45) BOSTON CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL – 300 LONGWOOD AVENUE - BOSTON
The Petitioner (Mr. David Lee, Associate Principal) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.10.06(2)(f). The Petitioner is seeking a waiver to replace a section of 12” cement lined Ductile Iron piping with new piping of the same material. The petitioner provided the Board office with a copy of the petition letter sent to Mr. Gary Moccia, Deputy Commissioner of Public Health.
