VARIANCE REQUESTS:

VR1) DCR-GUSTAVE JOHNSON SWIMMING POOL – 35 WANOOSNOC ROAD - FITCHBURG

The Petitioner (Mr. Thomas Scarlata, Architect) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.10 (18) (i) to allow the installation of a single use unisex toilet, lavatory and shower for male and female staff members. The proposed building meets the required fixture counts for a swimming pool in accordance with 248 CMR10.10 (18) Table 1. As this is a State Project no Board of Health letter is required.

VR2a) DCR ANDREW PETRO POOL 13 RANDOLPH STREET - SOUTHBRIDGE

The Petitioner (Mr. Jacob Garner, P.E.) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.02 (6) b and 10.10 (18) Table 1 for the existing unoccupied 550 square foot utility building. The petitioner seeks relief to not, require employee facilities. As this is a State Project no Board of Health letter is required.

VR2a) DCR ANDREW PETRO POOL 13 RANDOLPH STREET - SOUTHBRIDGE

The Petitioner (Mr. Jacob Garner, P.E.) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.10 (18)  (i). The petitioner seeks relief from the requirement to provide separate men’s and women’s restrooms for this 840 square foot, staff only, building. As this is a State Project no Board of Health letter is required.

VR3) UMASS BOSTON INTEGRATED SCIENCE BUILDING – 100 T MORRISEY BLVD - BOSTON

The Petitioner (Mr. Jeremy Mason, P.E.) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.10 (18) Table 1. The petitioner is seeking approval to reduce the number of drinking fountains required for the new high-rise laboratory building. to allow the installation of a single use unisex toilet, lavatory and shower for male and female staff members. The proposed building meets the required fixture counts for a swimming pool in accordance with 248 CMR10.10 (18) Table 1. As this is a State Project no Board of Health letter is required.
