PRODUCT ACCEPTANCE:           

PA1) Elster Products – Flexible Riser Product

Now appears David Robison (Director of Engineering) to discuss the product(s) Elster seeks approval for.

VARIANCE REQUESTS:

PV82) ANI CATERING – 687 BELMONT STREET - BELMONT

The Petitioner (Mr. John Janessian, owner) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.10 (18) Table 1. The Petitioner is seeking relief from the requirement to provide two handicap accessible restrooms. Mr. Janessian is proposing the installation of one unisex handicap accessible restroom. The Belmont Board of Health has no issues or objections to this request.

PV83) MBTA – JOHN B HYNES CONVENTION CENTER – 900 BOYLSTON STREET - BOSTON

The Petitioner (Mr. Jonathan McCredie, Principal / Owner) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 3.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 3.04 (1). The Petitioner is proposing the installation of stainless steel trough drains that are not product accepter. As this is a state project, no Board of Health letter is required.

PV85) RUGGIERI’S – 170 NORTH MAIN STREET - MIDDLETON

The Petitioner (Mr. John Ruggieri, President / Treasurer) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.10 (18) Table 1. The Petitioner is seeking relief from the requirement to install two handicap accessible restrooms. Petitioner is reducing the seating from 52 seats to 18 seats. Mr. Ruggieri requests converting one existing restroom to an administrative office and converting the other existing restroom to a unisex handicap restroom. The Middleton Board of Health is acceptable to the granting of this variance request.

PV86) TO DIE FOR, LLC – 16B CRAIG ROAD - ACTON

The Petitioner (Ms. Margaret Hammill, Owner) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.10 (18) Table 1. The Petitioner is moving to a new location which has one restroom. The petitioner is seeking to retain the existing single restroom. Ms. Hammill provided a copy of the petition letter sent to the Acton Board of Health.

PV87) NEXT STEP – 99 BISHOP ALLEN DRIVE - CAMBRIDGE

The Petitioner (Mr. Bill Kubicek, Executive Director) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.10 (18) Table 1. The petitioner is seeking a variance from the plumbing code regarding designated men’s and women’s restrooms. The petitioner is asking to change the current men’s room to a unisex restroom. The Cambridge Board of Health supports the granting of the variance.                  

PV88) AVENUE MANAGEMENT, LLC – 10 JOHN STREET - WOBURN

The Petitioner (Mr. John Martignetti, Manager) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.10 (18) Table 1. The petitioner is seeking a variance from the plumbing code regarding designated men’s and women’s restrooms. The petitioner is proposing the installation of one unisex restroom. The Woburn Board of Health takes no position on the matter.

PV89) BRENNEN RESIDENCE – 84 COMMON STREET - BELMONT

The Petitioner (Mr. Mark Brennan, Owner) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.15 (3) Tables 1, 2, 3. The petitioner is seeking a variance from the plumbing code to allow the proposed new 4th bathroom group to connect to the existing 3’ inch line within his unit. The original plan was to connect to the 4” line in an adjacent unit. The owner of that unit refused entry to allow the connection. The Belmont Board of Health approved the request.
