VR1) SUBDAY AUTO DEALERSHIP – 88 CAUSEWAY STREET - GLOUCESTER
The Petitioner (Mr. Timothy Sullivan) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.02 (23). The petitioner proposes installing a urinal, without a side shield, and a toilet in the designated men’s restroom. The petitioner states this will be a single user restroom. The Gloucester Board of Health does not find sufficient evidence for hardship with this variance request.
VR2) BWH ORTHOPEDIC / ARTHRITIS – 850 BOYLSTON STREET - BROOKLINE
The Petitioner (Mr. Peter Hannon, V.P.) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.10 (18) Table 1. The petitioner is proposing the elimination of the existing staff toilet room, shower space, and use the space for a soiled utility room. The applicant provided the Board Office with a petition letter sent to the Brookline Board of Health.
VR3) CHATHAM VILLAGE FOODS – 20 KENDRICK ROAD -WAREHAM
The Petitioner (Dale Tessier, President) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.06 (2) (o) 3. The petitioner seeks approval to use PVC piping underground to serve dedicated fixtures. The Wareham Board of Health approves the use of PVC piping for the proposed plumbing renovations.
VR4) RESIDENCE – CATHERINE SMITH – 226 COOPER LANE - SHELBURNE
The Petitioner (Catherine Smith, Owner) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 3.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 3.04 91). The petitioner proposes the installation of a soapstone sink that is not product accepted. The Northampton Board of Health supports this request.
VR5) MA-PORT – BUILDING #45 – 1 TOMAHAWK DRIVE EAST BOSTON
The Petitioner (Daniel Dirgins, P.E.) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation), 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.09 (1) (a) 2. Petitioner is proposing to discharge air conditioning condensate into the storm and sanitary drainage systems, upstream of the gas/oil/sand separators. As this is a state project, no Board of Health letter is required.
RBA1) APPRENTICE PLUMBER - STEVEN D. MARTIN – WOBURN
Mr. Martin is requesting the Board to review his apprentice application and to reverse the date stated on the signed application, because it was, sent in a timely manner to meet the deadline of the cutoff date.
