VARIANCE REQUESTS:

PV125) BLACKSTRAP BBQ CATERING – 47 WOODSIDE AVENUE – WINTHROOP

The Petitioner (Mr. Craig Buttner) requests a variance from 248 CMR 10.10 (18) Table 1.  Mr. Buttner is requesting to maintain one (existing) unisex handicap accessible restroom on the main level for use by patrons (38 seats) and employees ( 7 maximum). The gross square footage for the main level is 1383 SF. The public space is 732 SF and the private space for the kitchen and bar is 362 SF. The petitioner provided the Board office with a copy of the petition letter sent to the Winthrop Board of Health.

PV128) MA PORT AUTHORITY – PIER A TERMINAL C – LOGAN AIRPORT

The Petitioner (Mr. Dan Yerkes) requests a variance from 248 CMR 10.10 (18) (i) 2. The petitioner notes as indicated in the attached diagram, SKP-1, a section of exit corridor is more than 300 feet from publically accessible restroom facilities. It is this section of exit corridor for which a variance is requested.

PV131) ENTERPRISE  ALAMO NATIONAL – 50 TOMAHAWK DRIVE – BOSTON

The Petitioner (Mr. Frederick Neth) requests a variance from 248 CMR 10.10 (18) (i) to not require the installation of employee restrooms in the standalone building at the QTA 4 site. The building houses the compressor used for our detailing. Also it is used to store only windshield cleaning fluid for site operation. As this is a state project, no Board of Health letter is required.

PV132) DOLLAR THRIFTY – 160 TOMAHAWK DRIVE - BOSTON

The Petitioner (Mr. Frederick Neth) requests a variance from 248 CMR 10.10 (18) (i) to not require the installation of employee restrooms in the standalone building at the QTA 4 site. The building houses the compressor used for our detailing. Also it is used to store only windshield cleaning fluid for site operation. As this is a state project, no Board of Health letter is required.

PV134) ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR – 1219 THORNDIKE STREET – PALMER

The Petitioner ( Mr. John Bessant) requests a variance from 248 CMR 10.10 (18) (i). Mr. Bessant bases this request on the premise that the office space is less 1200 square feet and the garage area should not be included. The request is to have one unisex restroom for the office and customers.

PV135) SUBARU OF N. E. CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS – 111 MORSE STREET – NORWOOD

The Petitioner (Mr. Paul Elliott) requests a variance from 248 CMR 10.10 (18) (i). The restroom in the warehouse portion of the building exceeds the 300 feet of developed distance requirements in the plumbing code. The Norwood Board of Health supports the request by the applicant.

PV136) SUBARU OF N. E. CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS – 111 MORSE STREET – NORWOOD

The Petitioner (Mr. Paul Elliott) requests a variance from 248 CMR 10.15 (10). A few of the plumbing fixtures on the first floor of this building cannot be discharged by gravity. The current design takes the discharge of the first floor fixtures that cannot discharge by gravity, to a sump that is also serving the basement level fixtures.
