PR1) AQUATHERM PIPING SYSTEMS
Now appears Mr. James Paschal, P.E., to make a presentation to the Board regarding how the Aquatherm piping system differs from other traditional plastic piping, such as PVC, CPVC and PEX.
VARIANCE REQUESTS:
VR1) CHIPOTLE MEXICAN GRILL - 581 BOYLSTON STREET - BOSTON
The Petitioner (Mr. Keith Bettencourt, BKA Architects) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.18 Table 1. The petitioner seeks a waiver from the requirement to install two (2) handicap accessible restrooms for the public and patrons. The petitioner cites the size and configuration of the space along with the restriction presented by the structural elements and utilities passing through the space to floor levels above as the reasons for the request. Boston Inspectional Services, acting as the Board of Health defers to the Board.
VR 2) RESIDENCE - RETROFIT GLENWOOD STOVE - 84 WASHINGTON ROAD - WILBRAHAM
The Petitioner (Mr. Robert Anderson, Owner) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 3.00, the Uniform State Fuel Gas Code, Section 3.04 (1). Stanly Iron Works dismantled the Glenwood Stove and equipped it with an electric oven and gas top. The stove has a standing pilot and AGA approved valves. A carbon monoxide detector has been, installed on the same floor, near the stove. As this is a gas, variance no Board of Health letter is required.
EXAMINATION WAIVER(S)
RBA1) Now appears Mr. Keith Anderson who is requesting a waiver to retake the journeyman plumber examination in accordance with 248 CMR section 11.02 (1) (b) 3. (c).
