PR1) SEALED AIR CORPORATION – 2030 HOMESTEAD AVENUE – HOLYOKE

Ms. Pamela Nielsen and Lloyd Georg will guide the Board through the foam manufacturing process, which , uses liquefied propane as a blowing.

VARIANCE REQUESTS:

VR1) OCEAN SPRAY CRANBERRIES – 152 BRIDGE STREET - MIDDLEBORO

The Petitioner (Mr. John Pelletier, Project Manager) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.06 (2) (m).The petitioner is proposing to use welded 304 stainless steel pipe and fittings for the expansion of their potable water system. The Middleboro Plumbing Inspector and the Board of Health Officer support this request. The Middleboro Board of Health letter is on file.

VR2) COMMERCIAL GARAGE – 72-80 CHANDLER STREET - WORCESTER

The Petitioner (Mr. Thomas Nguen, Owner) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.09 (1) (b). The petitioner agreed to place two permanent bollards at the entrance of the 10’ x 10’ garage door. A copy of the Worcester Board of Health is on file.

VR3a) LEGACY FARMS (PWWTF) – 29 CLINTON STREET - HOPKINTON

The Petitioner (Steven Jieff, Project Manager) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.10 (18) (e). The petitioner is proposing the installation of one unisex handicap accessible employee restroom in lieu of the required two. The Hopkinton Board of Health voted in favor of the petition to vary the code with respect to sanitary facilities.

VR3b) APRILLA FARM WELLS 7 & 8 – 16R ALRILLA FARM ROAD - HOPKINTON

The Petitioner (Steven Zieff, Project Manager) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Fuel Gas Code, Section 10.10 (18) (e).The petitioner is seeking a waiver from the requirement to provide employee restrooms in this building. The Hopkinton Board of Health voted in favor of the petition to vary the code with respect to sanitary facilities.

VR4) CENTER PIZZA – 1071 WORCESTER ROAD, SUITE 21 – FRAMINGHAM

The Petitioner (Michael Shapiro, President) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Fuel Gas Code, Section 10.10 (18) (b) 2 & Table 1.The petitioner is seeking to retain the existing handicap accessible restroom and waive the requirement to install a second handicap accessible restroom. The Framingham Board of Health voted unanimously to grant a variance to reduce the bathrooms from two to one.

VR5a) NORTH SHORE ESSEX AGRICULTURAL TECH HS – 526 MAPLE STREET – DANVERS

The Petitioner (Eugene Kingman, Principal RW Sullivan) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Fuel Gas Code, Section 10.10 (18) (h) 7.The petitioner is seeking a waiver from the requirement to install showers in the vocational trade programs. As this is a state project, no Board of Health petition letter is required.

VR5b) NORTH SHORE ESSEX AGRICULTURAL TECH HS – 526 MAPLE STREET – DANVERS

The Petitioner (Eugene Kingman, Principal RW Sullivan) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Fuel Gas Code, Section 10.10 (18) (h) 4.The petitioner is proposes the elimination of teacher facilities in this building and the sharing of teacher facilities between adjacent buildings within 300 feet. As this is a state project, no Board of Health petition letter is required.

VR5c) NORTH SHORE ESSEX AGRICULTURAL TECH HS – 526 MAPLE STREET – DANVERS

The Petitioner (Eugene Kingman, Principal RW Sullivan) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Fuel Gas Code, Section 10.10 (18) (p).The petitioner is proposes to omit urinals. As this is a state project, no Board of Health petition letter is required.

VR5d) NORTH SHORE ESSEX AGRICULTURAL TECH HS – 526 MAPLE STREET – DANVERS

The Petitioner (Eugene Kingman, Principal RW Sullivan) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Fuel Gas Code, Section 10.10 (18) Table 1. At the Fish Barn, the petitioner seekss to omit toilet rooms in this building and proposes using student and teacher facilities in adjacent buildings within 300 feet . As this is a state project, no Board of Health petition letter is required.

VR5e) NORTH SHORE ESSEX AGRICULTURAL TECH HS – 526 MAPLE STREET – DANVERS

The Petitioner (Eugene Kingman, Principal RW Sullivan) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Fuel Gas Code, Section 10.10 (18) (h) 7. At the Auto Shop Building and the Building Trades Building is requesting a waiver from the requirement to provide showers. As this is a state project, no Board of Health petition letter is required.

VR5f) NORTH SHORE ESSEX AGRICULTURAL TECH HS – 526 MAPLE STREET – DANVERS

The Petitioner (Eugene Kingman, Principal RW Sullivan) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Fuel Gas Code, Section 10.06 (2) (g). The petitioner is proposing to use SDR-35 PVC piping in lieu of cast iron soil pipe for the outside underground rainwater reclaim system gravity drainage for piping beyond 10’ from buildings.. As this is a state project, no Board of Health petition letter is required.

VR6) DOCTOR’S OFFICE – 43 LINCOLN STREET - FRAMINGHAM

The Petitioner (Charles Williams) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Fuel Gas Code, Section 10.10 (18) (b) 2. b. The petitioner notes there is an existing non-handicap restroom for employees. In the waiting room the petitioner proposes the installation of one unisex handicap accessible restroom for patients and visitors. The Framingham Board of Health voted unanimously to grant the variance request to require only one handicap bathroom in the doctor office.

VR7) RESIDENCE – STACY CHAMBERS – 2 FOREST AVENUE - CANTON

The Petitioner (Stacy Chambers) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 3.00, the Uniform State Fuel Gas Code, Section 3.04 (1). The petitioner seeks a waiver to install an Aquapeutics Spa at this location. The product is not listed on the Board’s website. The product bears several marks CE, ETL and TUV. A copy of the petition letter sent to the Canton Board of Health is on file.
